Wanting to go to take nail courses while being 25 weeks pregnant.?

Im in my second trimester now and I have lately been getting manicures, pedicures, and acrylics. Mind you I do wear a mask when i get acrylics just incase. Even tho Ive heard different things about it effecting my baby. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to go to school for nail? I would think as long as I am careful and try to wear a mask I should be good..Wanting to go to take nail courses while being 25 weeks pregnant.?
I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I'm switching my cosmetology classes to manicuring in two weeks! I am very excited! Ive been pregnant the whole time I was in cos AND got my estheticians license while I was pregnant with my first-my daughter is perfect! Also, my current baby is developing just fine according to my doctor. Just make sure the area you are working in is well ventilated. (Bring a mini fan perhaps). A mask will help with flying particles as well. Furthermore, make sure you sanitize your implements properly and use only yours while practicing. Maybe even have a separate set you use only on clients. Just be extra careful! One more thing when I asked my doctor about getting acrylic nails put on he said that there are women who have been in the industry for years and they are around it all day long while pregnant-they are fine! You will do great. And don't listen to the moron who said there is no money in nails unless you are Vietnamese. There are plenty of excellent opportunities out there! I wish you the best of luck! You will do great!Wanting to go to take nail courses while being 25 weeks pregnant.?
I am a Certified Medical Assistant

I would NOT do this if I were you as the acrylic can make you and the baby sick. The masks do not protect you from getting it on you and you will still breath the chemical in with or without the mask. The mask don't fully protect you

Not to mention that with any course like this there is a chance of bacterial infection which will harm you and your unborn baby
Of course, everything has its dangers, but I imagine that all these women that are already in the industry have had children while working at a nail salon and school. Just take proper precautions and go for your regular check ups! You will be fine! P.S. My manicurist just has a health 3 month old and she has been in the industry 4 years....
Ideally you should wait until after your pregnancy, but it's your body, your fetus, and your decision what risks you want to take.
Those mask are only particulate filtering masks, they won't filter the harmful acetone fume inhalation.
well i went to get my nails done few mnths ago and this chinese lady was about to pop and she was still doing acurlic nails with a mask over her face..
Wait a few weeks. But if you are not Vietnamese there is no money in nails.
you should definately try it out!

You don't need to go to college, just ask at your local DIY shop, they'll show you how to hold the hammer...

Distance learning nail courses - are they okay?

I have been looking at Nail courses online - are the certificates worthless or really recognised if I wanted a job in a salon?Distance learning nail courses - are they okay?
Most of the certificates are recognised, just double check before you buy the course. Distance learning for things like this are very difficult, especially if you have no previous experience. Because you don't have a tutor there with you showing you how to do it, and what to change if you do things wrong, it can be very frustrating if things don't go right for you.

You do have tutors to help you whenever you need them via phone or e mail, but as i stated before, someone can tell you how to do something over and over again, but unless they physically show on a one to one basis, what your doing wrong, you will have difficulties. Also depends on the type of nail course you are doing, just putting tips on a nail can cause huge problems, especially with air bubbles and blending. The Acrylic system is the hardest to master and unless you get shown exactly how to get your mix of liquid and powder right, then i wouldn't bother as you will end up doing bad sets of nails without even realising. Even if you learn this in college, it CAN take months to get the mix ratio right.

You would be better off doing a course in college, then again its up to you to decide. Lots of people have done these courses, and have been very pleased with them. I just don't feel that you can properly learn the practical skills, as easily as if you did a college course. I hope this information is helpful to you, and good luck :)Distance learning nail courses - are they okay?
If you live in the USA, call your state licensing board and ask them. Some do and some don't. There are nail salons that let you train there at the solon. So just do your home work by making some phone calls and then go for it.....

    Good luck

I want to do a nail tech course from home, does anybody know any good courses?

I want ot be able to include, gels, acrylic, and maybe fibreglass, also nail art. I would like to find one I can do a pure payment plan on or that cheap so I can afford it.I want to do a nail tech course from home, does anybody know any good courses?
Your best bet is to attend a formal nail training program. I know that an at-home course sounds attractive, but you will be missing out on a lot of hands-on time which is critical to learning nails, not to mention the social aspect of attending a classroom based program. Plus, an instructor is there with you to answer questions for you, help you with problems you may be having doing nails, and much more. Also, if you live in the U.S., there are different requirements for licensure. Most - if not all states require that you attend a program to meet their minimum hours required for a license, or complete a certain number of hours as an apprentice. But, it varies from state to state. If you live outside of the U.S., then I'm afraid I can't be of much help as far as the requirements go. But, I do highly recommend a formal nail training program at a reputable school.

Does anybody know any cheap nail courses from home?

I am at college at the moment studying beauty therapy but i would also like to get qualified to become a nail technican, I would preferably like to get a level 2/3 or higher, Does anybody know any good cheap home learning courses?

ThanksDoes anybody know any cheap nail courses from home?
I don't think you can get certified from home, mainly because this profession involves working with people, Beauty, nail, hair etc. all require hands on training that is why there are special schools for these professions. If you want to get certified look up some local schools where you can take evening classes or maybe even summer classes. But I highly doubt there are at home classes you can take for this type of workDoes anybody know any cheap nail courses from home?

Because of my new born son it is impossible for me to do it. I would like to resell it. R u interested in?
